MCBC 13th Anniversary Gala & Annual Economic Vitality Awards

The Economic Vitality Award is presented annually by the Monterey County Business Council, a non-profit group of individuals who are interested in shaping the future of Monterey County and have a vested interest in the economic vitality of the community.

On Saturday, January 31, 2009, music luminaries Al Jardine of the Beach Boys and Rock and Roll Veteran Johnny Rivers accepted the Economic Vitality Award from the Monterey County Business Council and a Certificate of Appreciation from Assembly Woman Anna Caballero for their contribution to the economic vitality, growth and preservation of Monterey County through their music careers.
Al and Johnny mingled with approximately 145 attendees and posed for photographs and readily accepted requests for autographs. In addition the following were also presented with the Economic Vitality Award and Certificate of Appreciation for their contribution to the economic vitality, growth and preservation of Monterey County through the music venues they represent:
